Power BI Engineer

Experience / Skills required: 

Must have: 

• 3+ years of experience in BI development, with a strong focus on Power Platform and Power BI 
• Demonstrable experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards, using a wide range of visualisations to enable users to understand complex business scenarios 
• Demonstrable experience in developing solutions with Power Platform, with a focus on Canvas Apps and Power Automate 
• Experience connecting to different data sources including APIs 
• Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools 
• Commercial awareness and business acumen will be required 
• Proficient in DAX, Power Query (M) and Power FX 
• Solid understanding of data modelling techniques 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
• Upper-Intermediate English and better 

Good to have: 

• Familiarity with SQL and/or Python  
• Knowledge of Azure data services and cloud computing  
• Experience within a Business and IT Consultancy practice 
• Previous experience working in a client-facing role or consulting environment  
• Experience with HTML and CSS  

Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using the Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate 
• Work closely with clients to gather requirements, understand their business needs, and deliver customised solutions 
• Develop intuitive and interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements 
• Develop and deploy applications using Power Apps to enhance business processes, data quality and user experience 
• Excellent knowledge of SharePoint 
• Create and optimise data models using Power BI 
• Automate workflows and business processes using Power Automate 
• Optimise Power BI dashboards and reports with a focus on usability and performance 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of BI solutions into business processes 
• Provide training and support to clients and internal teams on using Power BI and Power Platform tools 
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in BI and data analytics
