Senior Data Engineer 

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Data Engineer to join our Client’s innovative team – US-based a product-led startup in the AI analytics & geospatial intelligence domain, combining space tech, machine learning, and climate-related data to drive insights with real-world impact.  

Project – an ambitious modern data platform powering large-scale analytics, ML pipelines, and business intelligence. You’ll work on ingesting, transforming, and delivering real-time and batch data from diverse sources (apps, APIs, partners) to fuel rapid decision-making, enhance product features, and streamline automated reporting. The platform is in active development, with the MVP already live and utilized by internal teams. The roadmap is exciting: migrating legacy pipelines, optimizing performance, and implementing advanced data quality checks and observability features.  

Requirements: 

• 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering 
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation 
• Hands-on experience with Dagster (preferred) or other orchestration frameworks 
• Expertise in DBT for data transformations and modeling 
• Solid command of SQL and experience with modern data warehouses such as ClickHouse or BigQuery 
• Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) 
• Familiarity with Modal or similar GPU compute tools 
• Exposure to machine learning concepts, enabling seamless collaboration with ML teams
• Upper-Intermediate and better English level 

Responsibilities: 

• Design and build scalable data pipelines 
• Drive efficient data workflows that empower analytics and AI applications
• Partner closely with our Applied AI/ML Engineers and CTO to shape the platform’s future
• Influence the strategic direction of our data infrastructure through research and innovation
• Play a pivotal role in integrating the data layer with advanced AI features, driving transformative outcomes
