Business Analyst 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Analyst to join a healthcare team of our client.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize their data utilization, improve hospital resource allocation, and develop tailored solutions for capacity management and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare operations, data analysis, and capacity management; and should have excellent communication skills and an understanding of how to implement digital transformation in a healthcare setting. 

Experience / Skills:

Must have:

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the healthcare sector 
• Experience with capacity management, hospital resource allocation, and healthcare data systems 
• Strong understanding of healthcare applications, data warehousing, and reporting systems 
• Fluent in both Dutch and English 
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced hospital environment 
• Familiarity with healthcare standards, including GDPR and data protection regulations 
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders in a hospital setting 
• Ability to travel for work onsite in Sint-Truiden, Belgium 

Good to have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Healthcare Management, or a related field 
• Experience with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) in healthcare 
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SAP and hospital-based applications 
• Familiarity with predictive analytics and AI-driven solutions in capacity management

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with hospital stakeholders, including IT, HR, and clinical teams, to analyze and understand business needs related to capacity management and data utilization 
• Conduct comprehensive business and functional analysis to identify opportunities for improving resource allocation, patient flow, and operational efficiency 
• Collaborate on the development and implementation of healthcare applications that enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting for better decision-making 
• Lead efforts to create capacity management dashboards by integrating data from multiple hospital systems (HR, scheduling, and operational data) 
• Develop project plans and maintain communication with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals 
• Provide expertise in structuring and interfacing hospital data systems for improved reporting and performance insights 
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) 
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and hospital staff to ensure smooth communication and execution of development initiatives
