NLP Engineer

We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of lawtech and legaltech by leveraging cutting-edge solutions. We are currently in search of a skilled NLP Specialist to join the client’s dynamic team and spearhead efforts in developing advanced AI-driven applications.  

Client – is a leader in lawtech and legaltech, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the legal industry. The project involves developing advanced AI-driven applications, focusing on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in Natural Language Processing (NLP) systems. 

Requirements:

• A Master’s or PhD in fields such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Linguistics, or related disciplines 
• 2–3 years commercial experience in Natural Language Processing / Machine Learning 
• Demonstrated proficiency in NLP, with a deep understanding of RAG models 
• Extensive experience in crafting and refining search retrieval strategies, including expertise in leveraging vector databases like Pinecone, Faiss, or Qdrant 
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java, along with familiarity with frameworks like Langchain and LlamaIndex 
• Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead projects to fruition 
• Upper-Intermediate English and better 

Nice to have:

• Prior involvement with large-scale NLP systems and expertise in knowledge distillation 
• Practical familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS, and APIs such as LLM from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Mistral 

Responsibilities:

• Architect, create, and implement NLP systems for production, with a primary emphasis on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) 
• Deploy state-of-the-art vector search retrieval methodologies and refine them for optimal speed and precision 
• Foster collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to seamlessly integrate NLP technologies into our product suite 
• Maintain and enhance models in accordance with the latest research findings and industry evolutions 
• Conduct experiments and prototype novel concepts to enhance system efficacy
