SCADA Software Architect 

We are looking for a SCADA Software Architect to join our Client’s Technical Team – a global leader in sustainable transport solutions, driving the transition from traditional manufacturing toward a fully digitalized and connected production ecosystem. With more than 50,000 employees worldwide and production sites across Europe and South America, the organization is actively investing in automation, green technologies, and smart factory initiatives. 

In this role, you will work together with other Software Architect drive the design and development of the global SCADA solutions. You will have a close corporation with the SCADA implementation teams to both understand the different local needs and as well support them to build smart and efficient solutions. You will also take part in the innovation work, designing main SCADA Products, lead the development teams, interface with business needs and architect all the solutions following state-of-the-art practices and technologies. 

Experience / Skills required: 

Must have: 

• 8+ years of experience designing and implementing global SCADA solutions 
• To be highly skilled in Ignition (Inductive Automation, ideally Gold Certified), PLC programming, SQL Server, GIT, and Python 
• To have strong understanding of ERP/MES systems, ISA95 standards, and Industry 4.0 integration 
• Ability to lead development teams, collaborate with local SCADA implementation teams across multiple countries, and interface effectively with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, efficient solutions 
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skills in English, a strategic and innovative mindset, and the ability to drive technical excellence while ensuring global alignment of SCADA architecture 

Responsibilities: 

• Drive the design and architecture of global SCADA solutions 
• Collaborate with local SCADA implementation teams to understand local requirements and provide guidance 
• Lead development teams, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions 
• Interface with business stakeholders to align SCADA architecture with business needs 
• Contribute to innovation work, designing main SCADA products and implementing state-of-the-art practices 
• Support release management, version control, and maintain efficient development workflows
