Head of Engineering

We are looking for a Head of Engineering for a fast-growing live streaming/creator economy product company developing streaming platforms, creator tools, overlays, and AI-assisted workflows. The company has been on the market for around 8–9 years and is currently actively scaling engineering processes, AI adoption, and product delivery.
The company operates fully remotely with team members mainly located in Germany, Austria, and Ghana. The culture is product-oriented, startup-like, fast-moving, and strongly connected to gaming and streaming domains.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Head of Engineering / Engineering Manager / Technical Leadership roles
  • Strong people management and engineering organization leadership experience
  • Experience scaling engineering teams and improving development processes
  • Product mindset and ability to work closely with product/business stakeholders
  • Experience working in startup, scale-up, fast-moving, and changing environments
  • Strong communication and autonomous decision-making skills
  • Experience driving AI adoption or AI-assisted workflows is a strong plus
  • Gaming/streaming / creator economy affinity is a plus
  • Experience in streaming, gaming, creator economy, or real-time products
  • Understanding of scalable distributed systems and real-time infrastructure
  • Technical background with modern web technologies and cloud systems
  • Fluent English

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering organization (~20 engineers across 3 teams)
  • Improve engineering processes, delivery speed, and team performance
  • Drive AI adoption and AI-assisted engineering workflows internally
  • Increase engineering productivity and development velocity
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams on execution and prioritization
  • Support product-to-engineering decision making
  • Help scale the engineering organization while maintaining a startup culture
  • Manage engineering communication, collaboration, and team culture
  • Support hiring, mentorship, and engineering growth initiatives
